Dailymotion videos can be shared with a full dailymotion.com address or a shorter dai.ly link. A valid share URL should resolve to one individual public video.
Start from the video page
Open the video, copy its Share link and paste it into the Dailymotion downloader. If a dai.ly link does not process, open it first and copy the final Dailymotion URL from the browser address bar.
Understand available quality
The source upload, duration and provider response determine the listed formats. A video described as HD on its page may still return only the streams currently exposed for that link. Compare resolution and estimated size before choosing a file.
Why a result may be missing
- The video was removed, made private or restricted by region or age.
- The URL points to a playlist, channel or category rather than one video.
- A short link has an incomplete or expired redirect.
- The media provider is temporarily unavailable.
Verify the public page in a private browser window and retry the final direct URL. Respect the publisher's rights and save only media that you own or have permission to download.
