TikTok links are commonly copied from the Share menu. Some are full video addresses and others are shortened redirect links. Both can identify one post, but the link must ultimately lead to a public video.
Video or audio: choose for the job
Use the TikTok downloader to inspect the result. Choose TikTok MP4 when you need picture and sound together. Choose the TikTok MP3 workflow only when an audio-only option is returned and you have permission to save that audio.
File size depends on duration, resolution and encoding. A quality label is more useful when read together with the estimated size, especially on mobile data or a device with limited storage.
If the TikTok URL does not resolve
Open the shared link in your browser first. If it redirects to an app-install screen, copy the final browser URL and try that address. Private posts, friends-only posts, removed videos, regional restrictions and temporary provider changes may prevent a result.
About watermarks and creator rights
The returned file is determined by the available source. Do not assume that a watermark will be removed or that every post has an audio-only option. Creator ownership, music licences and platform rules still apply. Save only your own public posts or content for which you have permission.
